A board wrapper, a completed build and a functional test establish different results.
- A wrapper proves only that a board-local top module exists.
- A build report proves only that synthesis, place-and-route and bitstream packing succeeded for a stated configuration.
- Hardware evidence requires programming plus observed board behavior or measured pins.
Practice
Check the board constraints
Before using a wrapper, check the pin assignments, I/O voltages and clock constraints against the board documentation. Then build and measure the intended configuration.
